Acqualuna

Acqualuna

Streaming with impunity,

Assertively,

The path of existence moves down to the boundless ocean.

The river shows the way,

With several bifurcations as they say.

Different beds to choose from…

Laid in front, shouting silently fallacious calls.

This is the story of a wayfarer,

Travelling along his destiny.

The moon glows fierily on the slackened billows,

Leaving a trail for the drifter to watch;

Emblazing his toilsome journey called plainly, life.

Whipping away the rare clouds that are slow to stir,

The face of the moon shows himself.

Resplendent by its victory, slowly covering the water,

Admiring his beauty in the white shimmer.

Following the wanderer, changing slightly of position.

The moon decided to impregnate one of the bifurcations

With all her magnificence.

Bewildered, the lone looked at the gleaming liquid

And thanked the moon for the kindness and comforting light bestowed on him.

Walking toward the magnetic spot,

The mysterious satellite was staggering through this alternate image.

“Acqualuna, moon of water…” said the lorn.

“Once again you’ve showed me the right way.

Your magnificence is only second to the secrecy you share.

Through your glow I am imbued with beneficence and protection.

As the North-star shows the navigator his road,

You are my guiding lighthouse.

The riverbeds are numerous, nevertheless

Your quivering sham, moonbeam on water,

Shows me which course to take.”

Continuing his walk during daylight,

He had a difficult time forgetting his oneiric vision.

The fastidious path along his river is still long,

But the man knows, the representation of true essence.

He knows, that when difficulty arises,

The moon on water will be there for him…
